About Leah

Welcome to The Vintage Oven! My name is Leah Durso, the face behind the frosting!

During the pandemic, I watched video after video of cookie decorating tutorials until I decided to try my hand at it. I opened my business in May of 2021 after falling in love with decorating sugar cookies. The rest, as they say, is history!

I have had many different careers leading up to now: waitress, bartender, hair stylist, property manager, corporate copier sales, customer service rep, and now COOKIER! I have always had an artistic side but never found the right canvas until cookies. It is my true passion, and I’m so grateful I get to create edible art full-time.

In addition to being a cooker, I am a wife and fur mom; I rescued my two perfect kitties (Max and Minnie) ten years ago. My husband is my biggest cheerleader and helps me however he can! 

While I’m fulfilling orders, Friends, Modern Family, Gilmore Girls, or Schitts Creek is guaranteed to be on repeat while decorating. I’ve been gluten-free for four years and have offered my clients a delicious, gluten-free cookie. Trust me; I know how difficult it can be to find yummy gluten-free treats! My favorite holiday is Christmas, and my tree is always up early!

I put my heart and soul into every order and am so grateful for your support. I can’t wait to create custom treats for your special events!

    Leah made the most adorable cookie favors for my daughter’s baby shower! Not only were they beautiful but they were DELICIOUS! Everyone raved about them and asked where I got the cookies.I highly recommend The Vintage Oven for all your party favors. They are amazing!
